Mont st. Michel. Magnificent architecture can be seen here, including the 11th century abbey which is built at the summit of this ancient mount, surrounded by many charming souvenir shops and restaurants.

Bayeux. See the famous Bayeux tapestry, a wonderful cathedral and many museums including the Battle of Normandy Memorial Museum.

The Normandy Beaches. Visit the site of the D.Day landings at Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches. Also at Arromanche the artificial Mulberry harbour is still visible.

Zoos. There are 2 excellent zoos at Jurques and Champrepus, both within easy reach of Burcy. See the rare white lions at Jurques.

Souterroscope. Fabulous voyage through underground caves. Great for a rainy day!.

Viaduc de la Souleuvre. Try bungee jumping or abseiling for the more energetic.

Vire. Our nearest town, many historic features including the Clock Tower which overlooks the town centre. Vire is the capital of the Bocage Normande and famous worldwide for the Andouille sausage.

Caen. Largest town in the area, City of William the Conqueror who was responsible for the castle and two Benedictine Abbeys. Also the Battle of Normandy Memorial and great shopping.

Granville. Lively seaside resort and sailing centre. You could catch a boat for Jersey or the Iles de Chausey.

Honfleur. Quaint cobbled quays with many restaurants and galleries make this a unique town.

Markets. There are many weekly markets , at Vire, St Lo, Villedieu les Poeles and St Hilare du Harcourt to name a few.

Golf. There is an excellent golf course at Lake Dathee.
